Urban Achievers is a private, tuition-free, Scholar-Athlete Focused Education model designed to pave the way for college success and career readiness. Spanning grades 9-14, Urban Achievers offers students the unique opportunity to earn both a high school diploma and a no-cost postsecondary degree in a sport-related field.


Through strategic industry partnerships, companies collaborate with Urban Achievers to provide students with a variety of workplace experiences, including mentorship, worksite visits, and paid internships. Graduates will be equipped with the academic and professional skills necessary for entry-level careers, offering industry partners a pipeline of well-prepared talent. Those not recruited by their industry partner will still possess competitive skills to thrive in the local job market, contributing to workforce development
and local economic growth.

Skills Mapping and Curriculum Alignment Verify alignment of curriculum with industry-specific skills and knowledge 2-day alignment workshop once every 2 years
Industry Mentoring Incorporate student experiences that highlight career opportunities within the company and cultivate key professional competencies like teamwork, entrepreneurship, and critical thinking. 2-3 times a month during the school year
Worksite visits Immerse students in real-world careers, both in-office and virtual environments, and the practical application of industry methods. 3-4 times a year per grade level
Paid Internships In their junior or senior year, students who have met industry benchmarks will have the opportunity to join project teams within your company, developing their skills and gaining exposure to the professional world. 6-8 weeks Decided by Industry Partner
